This is Astenorello! I’m learning calligraphy by myself. I’m a calligraphy enthusiast exploring the space between tradition and experimentation. Here’s some info about my journey:
2022 & 2023
In 2022 I tried to make some calligrams using simply my handwriting. At the beginning of 2023 I started learning calligraphy (mainly gothic scripts) as a self-taught and then I also experimented with abstract calligraphy. In july of the same year I painted my first works and I posted short videos of the process on my YouTube channel.
2024 & 2025
In 2024 I made some calligram portraits, but soon I had to stop. I faced a period of my life where calligraphy didn’t bring me joy anymore. Anyways I’ve never stopped planning new projects and writing down ideas as I wanted to come back one day and enjoy this hobby again. In the second half of 2025 I slowly tried to get back practicing calligraphy more often.
2026
This year I am back to realize some of the projects I planned in the past years and even more.
This website will be my place where I’ll share what I learn, what I create, and what inspires me. Thanks for being here.
